Siemens Electronic Tolling (Siemens ET) is imbedded in the recently formed sector “Infrastructure and Cities” and is part of the business unit Intelligent Traffic Systems. Siemens ET is headquartered in Vienna, Austria and has been founded in 2006. Siemens ET is specialized in satellite based toll solutions and successfully proofed its capabilities with the implementation for Puget Sound Regional Council Seattle/Washington executing the Traffic Choices Program thus realizing the first satellite based project on a large scale. In 2009 Siemens received the contract for a nationwide satellite based toll solution in Slovakia realizing the tolling part in one year only. TOLL INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES has a specific focus in providing professional consulting services for the toll road sector. Tollinfra provides capability in toll development from concept to commissioning, as well as Intelligent Transportation System, Weighbridge infrastructure development, and associated interfacing and implementation of the communications infrastructure.
