International Transportation Executives to Meet in Tampa, FL March 12-14 to Discuss Cyber-Security, Privacy and Share Best Practices

Conference Hosted by IBTTA and the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), the worldwide association for the owners and operators of toll facilities and the businesses that serve them, in partnership with the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority will host transportation leaders from around the globe in Tampa, FL to discuss and share best practices to advance greater mobility for drivers in the age of digital communications.   

WHAT: Hosted by the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA), IBTTA’s Communications and Administration Workshop: Strategies for Success will be held March 12-14, 2017 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. WHY: In the age of digital communications, best practices around the free flow of vital information to consumers and internal transportation stakeholders has become a critical component of mobility. Topics are divided into general sessions, a communications track, and an administration track. General session topics include cyber security: managing threats to consumer data and privacy, transportation policy and politics, best practices in organizational alignment and team engagement, the truth and nothing but the truth--how to communicate with customers, and discussing highly disruptive infrastructure projects.
