IBTTA’s Be Safe Together campaign is a global movement driven by the tolling industry and powered by everyday heroes—those who design, build, operate, maintain, and drive our roads. It highlights the shared responsibility of everyone on and off the road to protect lives and ensure safer journeys for all.

This year’s theme, Be Safe Together: Be the Highway Hero, celebrates the vital role each of us plays in road safety—whether behind the wheel, on the worksite, or making decisions that shape transportation systems. From engineers and toll operators to road workers and drivers, the campaign honors the collective effort it takes to create a safer, more connected world.

The campaign is championed by IBTTA member agencies and global allies, and features coordinated media outreach, social media activations, thought leadership, live programming, and direct messaging to drivers at tolling facilities, rest areas, and online platforms.
