Jessica Carson, MBA, has worked in the tolling and transportation industry for more than 19 years. Carson began her transportation career with the E-470 Public Highway Authority in 2007 as the Operations Coordinator and then held several leadership roles within the Authority, including Director of Operations and Director of Public Affairs. During her time with E-470, Carson led many areas of the business, including tolling services, customer service, roadside assistance, image processing, incident management, traditional and digital advertising campaigns, social media, public relations, customer correspondence, government affairs, and strategic communications.
Today, Carson serves as a Senior Transportation Consultant with GFT, where she leverages her experience to provide strategic and operational consulting services to toll agencies and transportation organizations. Her work focuses on toll operations, customer experience, revenue assurance, back-office systems, contact center operations, interoperability, procurement support, organizational strategy, and business process improvement.
Carson is a 2012 graduate of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) Leadership Academy and has remained an active contributor to the Leadership Academy Alumni Association (LAAA) since that time. She has served IBTTA for many years and currently serves as Co-Chair of the IBTTA Roadway Safety Steering Committee, helping guide industry initiatives focused on reducing roadway fatalities and advancing transportation safety. She is also the Treasurer of the Women in Tolling (WIT) Council and past Co-Chair of the Toll Revenue Assurance Committee (TRAC), where she contributes to industry best practices, peer collaboration, and professional development initiatives.
Carson has a double major from the University of Iowa in Journalism/Mass Communication and Psychology, and a minor in English. In addition, she obtained her MBA from the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business in 2017.
