Women in Tolling Council
The mission of the IBTTA Women in Tolling is to connect women in tolling globally, support diversity in leadership, and promote professional development. IBTTA members may join the WIT Networking Community to stay up to date and connect with your peers. To do this, log into your IBTTA account and choose "My Networking Communities" and you will receive information directly from the networking community leader.
Objectives
- Encourage women to submit presentations to represent the diversity of our organizations and communities
- Support and promote diverse international leaders into IBTTA leadership roles (Board, Committees, and Planning efforts)
- Give back to the women in the communities where IBTTA events are held
- Hold informal socials at IBTTA events to give women a ‘friendly’ environment to engage with others attending the event
- Host formal events to focus on topics specific to women
- Empower personal and professional growth and progress through service
- Sharing valuable resources and opportunities for women to get involved and expand their network
Established in 2020, the WIT Awards Committee is part of the WIT Council, a group of women in the tolling industry within IBTTA. WIT's mission is “connecting women in tolling globally, supporting diversity in leadership and promoting professional development.” Each year, two WIT awards – the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Trailblazer Award – are presented at the IBTTA Annual Meeting.

About the Awards
Nomination Period: June 11 - June 26
Nominations are now open for the WIT Lifetime Achievement Award and the WIT Trailblazer Award.
The WIT Awards Committee is part of the Women in Tolling Council. Each year, the WIT Lifetime Achievement Award and WIT Trailblazer Award are presented at IBTTA's Annual Meeting to recognize women whose contributions have made a lasting impact within our industry.

Review Selection Methodology
The WIT Awards Committee is responsible for gathering and reviewing nominations for each of the WIT Awards each year.
- Qualified applicants will be evaluated based on the responses received in the nomination form and known or available information on the potential awardee.
- The WIT Awards Committee will make a recommendation for each award to the WIT Council Officers and IBTTA no later than the end of July.
- The final award recommendations will go before the WIT Council each July for a majority vote and approval per the WIT Charter.
- The WIT Awards will be presented at the IBTTA Annual Meeting each fall.

The WIT Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a WIT Council member who has made significant contributions to IBTTA Women in Tolling and the overall transportation/tolling industry in a way that supports the Mission, Vision, and Objectives of the WIT Council.
This outstanding awardee will exemplify overall leadership on the WIT Council, is an active member of a WIT Committee, advocates for women and diversity within the industry, and has made a significant contribution towards the advancement of women in tolling. This awardee will be presented with this WIT Lifetime Achievement Award and will be given a lifetime membership on the WIT Council.
To be considered for the WIT Lifetime Achievement Award, a nominee must meet the following criteria:
- Active or former member of the WIT Council and IBTTA. Demonstrated advocate and supporter of IBTTA Women in Tolling Council through their contribution of time, talent, and/or resources.
- Significant contributions to IBTTA Women in Tolling and the overall transportation/ tolling industry in a way that supports the Mission, Vision, and Objectives of the WIT Council.
- Noteworthy personal, professional, and/or organizational achievements.

The WIT Trailblazer Award recognizes an IBTTA member who has made significant contributions to the transportation/tolling industry in a way that supports the Mission, Vision, and Objectives of the WIT Council.
This outstanding awardee will exemplify overall leadership within the tolling industry, promotes connections within and across diverse teams, mentors and encourages personal and professional development in others, and has made a significant contribution towards the advancement of women in tolling.
To be considered for the WIT Trailblazer Award, a nominee must meet the following criteria:
- Employed by a current member of IBTTA.
- Demonstrated advocate and supporter of IBTTA Women in Tolling through their contribution of time, talent, and/or resources.
- Significant contributions to IBTTA Women in Tolling and the overall transportation/ tolling industry in a way that supports the Mission, Vision, and Objectives of the WIT Council.
- Noteworthy personal, professional, and/or organizational achievements.
