Chris Cugler, Integration Partner Success Manager
Christopher M. Cugler is a tolling industry leader with more than 14 years of experience spanning back-office systems, customer service center operations, violations enforcement, and payment strategy. His career bridges public agency operations, private-sector service delivery, and payment innovation across some of the largest and most complex tolling programs in the US.
Chris began his career supporting toll violation litigation and court operations before advancing into executive operational leadership roles overseeing statewide customer service centers and multi-agency tolling programs. As Director of Operations and Project Principal for major tolling contracts, he led cross-functional teams responsible for customer service delivery, violations processing, retail transponder programs, compliance, and revenue performance. He has successfully managed contract renewals, performance transformations, and operational transitions in highly regulated environments.
Today, Chris serves as an Integration Partner Success Manager at PayNearMe, where he focuses on advancing Payment Experience Management within the tolling ecosystem. He works closely with toll agencies, back-office system providers, and industry consultants to modernize payment strategies, helping agencies reduce friction, reduce risk, improve payment equity, lower the total cost of acceptance, and most importantly enhance customer experience.
